Let's put it this way. If it was me or any other non celebrity that went off like Michael Richards did, it wouldn't even reach the news. Because he is a celebrity, the media and a lot of other people have a tendency to jump on it and turn the whole thing into something much bigger than it is. He opened his mouth and put his foot in and has since apologized. That should be the end of it, but probably won't be.

What was more offensive than the use of the n word was the comment he made about having a fork up their a--. Either way it was wrong. If you can't handle hecklers then you shouldn't be doing stand-up. But on the other hand, I find it offensive that black people use the n word and that's okay but if a white person uses it, it's terrible. If it's a nasty word, it's nasty regardless of who uses it. A word's definition should not be determined by what race uses it. If blacks don't want whites using the n word then they should not use it either. If they find it so offensive then why do they call each other that?

As bad as his comment was what about towards the end of the incident when they called him a "Cracker" and a "F**cking Whiteboy" And I havent heard anything about their apology's for their racist remarks yet..

It's a double standard! The fact that rappers say the "N" word (No I don't use it!!) all the time!! And you hear all these little hip hop clowns refer to themselves as it again every other word...I have no problem with the fact that he snapped and called them something they probably refered to themselves as all day long anyway....It was the comment that precipitated it

"If it was 50 years ago you'd be hanging upside down with a fork in your a*s" That blew my mind...

Something like that just doesn't roll off your tongue unless you've thought about it before..That was unbelievably offensive and crossed every line there was to cross in my mind!! The dudes career has been dead for years. So I can't even say he buried himself with that comment...But he sure let people know where his mind lies..He's racist no if's ands or buts about it

He definitely shouldn't have said it - it was way too much, but I do think that white comedians are forced to be a lot more cautious about what they say than black comedians are. It should just blow over because really it was nothing.

It is so sad... I don't think he had prepared himself for going into stand up comedy and just wasn't aware of the commotion that goes along with live sets.

I think it is ridiculous. Black entertainers and comics made rude racist comments about white people all the time and it is okay. He was upset about the hecklers and went overboard. I wish the whole thing would just blow over.

I think if he was a black screaming Cracker! Cracker!, we would not have heard anything. It's Ok for Chris Rock to make whites seem all uptight and afraid but if you even make the slightest reference to a black and a monkey, look out.

Honestly, I hope to hear as little about it as possible so I don't have any basis for speculating on another b list celebrities verbal faux pas.

I didn't care for it.Especially in the club he was in. He sort of appologized. But, he shouldn't have mouth off like that.

COUPLA PUNKS RATTLED HIS CAGE, SAD FROM BOTH PERSPECTIVES. IF YOU DONT LIKE THE PERFORMANCE, WALK OUT. THAT MAKES ALOT MORE NOISE THAN CHEAP SHOTS FROM THE BACK. I'LL PRAY FOR ALL OF THEM.

GOD BLESS
