We did in Colorado. Basically, employees and elected officials of the state of Colorado, can't even accept a meal. They can't accept donations for their campaign for more than fifty dollars. Everybody else needs to follow suit...By the way, it's sort of funny to see these jokers running around trying to cover their tracks about previous deals, and trying to figure out what they can get away with.

yes! i asked a question on AOL but some fascist kept deleting it so i will ask it here... if campaigned fiance reform is an infringement on the rights of the rich and powerful to say a lot of rhetoric then they are 2 contradictions with that ....... 1. when it comes to politics you have to put all your eggs in one basket... meaning that you cant talk out both sides of you rear!.. as in you cant give to 2 or more parties who are saying the opposite of each other! and ....... 2. what about my right to same the same thing over and over with my vote! like FDR for president again and again! [ oh and by the way maybe someone should ask a question like ... would you sign a petition to finally get rid of campaign fiance?] and also the best way to start to get rid of it is to have run off elections when the candidate does not have the majority of the votes due to having more than 2 or more of them running then they should have a runoff election so that they have to make more promises to the majority of the votes and not just some special interest minority that voted them in. and the runoff election should include all offices on up to president so we don't have a party winning because they gave money to a 3rd party like might have happened with Ralph Nader stealing votes when he accepted money from a certain rich party!

We could demand it but ultimately it would be futile. The lobbyists would pay the politicians to kill the bill and the politicians are too corrupt to deny that payment. What we need is a candidate who is running for a high position of power who is righteous and believes that lobbyists have too much power.

Yes they appear (according to the press) to have too much influence, but I think they are also a necessary evil that we must deal with.
