Nobody's dumb. Take a couple of aptitude tests and you'll find the right career for you, personally. You can buy them at a bookstore (don't take one online, unless you back it up by one somewhere else), or buy a recently published book about finding the career that fits you best. You'll find what you like best, and are the best at doing! Good luck!

There is know such thing as dumb. We all have the ability to learn if we are willing to be taught a skill or trade. Computers have had a great impact on the ability people who have some kinds of physical or even mental limitations to earn decent money. All states and counties in this country have programs that are designed to help people with limited resources to get some help with training and even job placement. Check with your local Social Services office or look on line for resources. There are many options available today... you don't have to be a laborer or a rocket scientist in 2006. You just have to be willing to work and to show up on time and most employers are glad to have you... Look into the options that I mentioned. Goodwill industries has several excellent programs up and running... So good luck!

there are many things they can do. What are they interested in? What are their skills and their weaknesses?
These have to be assessed but there are definitely some great jobs out there that pay better than minimum wage out there for them.
When you say dumb do you mean low educated or mentally retarded?

no one is really confined to a min-wage job unless you're an illegal immigrant or some other minority in hiding.

I don't think you really need any special training, but you do need to stop thinking of yourself as dumb. Confidence is important when landing any job.

They (if you mean by dumb as in stupid then) read a lot more books, go to the gym, and become a Bodyguard.

if you know how to drive,go to school 2 weeks they teach you to truck drive..anyone can do it..
