No. Choosing to act on those feelings is your decision.
From a different angle....depending on the circumstance, people will try to emotionally manipulate you, judge you, lay a guilt trip on you, appeal to your kind nature. I know how I feel and why--right or wrong. I don't accept others' interpretation.

No, of course not.
You can't help what you feel...
UNLESS...
the feelings are not really your own true feelings
and are based on the words or actions of another
who might be considered wrong, such as racism
Example: I went out the other night with a fella,
who made really bad remarks about a group of people who came into the restaurant. When I confronted him about it, his reply was...
"Well I can't help it. The guys I work with talk that way".

Only by those it may offend I suppose, but to make a judgement call on something that is uniquely ones own is not a cool move to make, afterall,if its a true feeling where is the fault? =)

Just thinking about that today. Sometimes I know my feelings seem irrational, but no matter how hard I try to suppress them, they are still there. I have stopped thinking my feelings are wrong, but instead acknowledging these feelings and analyzing why they are there. Usually I end up with a good understanding of myself and less frustration.

I dont think so. I have got into some many debates about this very thing. I don't think that you can help how you feel. I do believe that with practice and patience you can control your feelings and not alway act on your feelings. But dont be angry at me if i cant love you the way you think that i should.

Everyone has a right to their true feelings. You do hold responsibility to expressing them. If you ex press them in a way that is hurtful or disruptive you must be able to take responsibility for the ramifications . I mean really.........

You repeated your question...
At least i THINK you've asked this before.
*grins*
I think there's a time and place for everything.
I've learned that sometimes you need to keep your mouth shut and other times it's best to be heard.
It just depends on the subject at hand.
But you really can't fault someone for what they perceive to be the truth of their heart.

Everyone has the right to have their own feelings and opinions, but they also have the responsibility of being tactful and considerate of others.
