In 1993, there was a tropical storm or something passing through Georgia. There was a huge flood in Northeast Georgia (at least at Lake Rabun). We were stuck in the mountains for a week because the roads leading out were covered in water. It tore up the roads, caused landslides (small ones), destroyed houses, and killed many plants.
