Well.... if you believe all those plaques on old buildings on the Eastern seaboard he slept a lot. So his position was prone. Other than that position he walked around a lot, rode horses and sat down. I don't think he stood on his head so that position can be ruled out.

You really should do your home work yourself. Put it this way, during the revolution, there was no United States. So there was no president. What were the revolutionaries doing during the revolutionary war? And Washington was leading them. So...
