I was 55 when I starred in "Robin Hood" a production of the Fresno Children's Theater. The play was in-acted in an outdoor theater in the middle of Rodding Park, and I played "The Sheriff of Nottingham", the villain. It was the most wonderful role I have ever played.
I was able to jump off the stage and have sword fights among the children, occasionally making assides to nearby children as I swung my sword. And I just camped it up as a villain.
After the play children were just lined up to meet . . . the Sheriff, and I kept in character the whole while. The kids loved it . . . and I loved it.
