True insight comes from the heart. Ask your heart a question, then let it go,the answer will come to you. Study facts but let your heart answer questions. The mind is not for thinking the mind is for receiving thought. All knowledge is within your heart, when you focus & reach the right vibiration the answers come. "OUT OF THE BLUE".

If true insight comes from within, you first have to ask, what is within yourself?

First of all (to correct some of the people that wrote answers above me) there is nothing inside your heart. It is an organ that pumps blood - nothing more, nothing less. Second of all, your mind is a blank slate when you are born. Even if you grow up and spend countless hours meditating and reflecting internally, whatever has come to be inside you had to be shaped and influenced by outside forces during your upbringing.

So my answer is, true insight comes from reflecting on the things you have learned, felt, experienced and shared throughout your life. Yes, those things are stored within yourself, but they came to rest there only after you came in contact with them in the world.

Yes, but with a prerequisite. I am a firm believer in the Socratic method. Though Socratic philosophy indicates that we already know the answer, and therefore insight would come from within, we never have access to that which we already know unless the right question is phrased and put to us. Unless the right question is posed to us, the insight remains locked forever.

Yes. Ultimately we are what we see. Change the way in which we see and we will change what we see, thus transforming ourselves. This is not just a matter of asking the right question but seeing (understanding) it from within, from the basic intelligence (spirit) that is already there...even before we think about it. That basic, pure intelligence Is our true self (God)--and being (seeing) there our understanding Awareness. Thus it is written that the kingdom of God Is Within...for when we have found who and what we really are we see everything from within Ourself, from the Heart (Center of Being) of God.

I do agree but often times you find within only if prompted from without. I will talk to a person who makes a comment that stirs something within me.

Absolutely!!!!......

I could tell you some dreams that I've interpreted that people don't realize that can be known.....

I told one guy that I would pm him so that everyone wouldn't know his business... but he insisted that i put the interpretation on the open board...... so, I did as he asked..... the interpretation proved that he caught a disease from his friend's girlfriend, and he openly confirmed it, reluctantly.....

What is within is a taletell sign of the truth we fear to acknowledge..... It is a story of our lives..... told a day at a time in an impossible place...... and that place is impossible to lie... it is absolutely impossible to lie in that place..... (luke 17:21)

It is called the image of God...... We house that image within this "temple" we call flesh......

What we don't understand is it's obscure language.....

Yes, of course it does. We are supposedly perfect and have all we need to realize our true potential. But we can never discover that if we dont turn within and find what God gave us!

Only from within.

Read "Rational Spirituality" available on the Dhaxem website. It is the intelligent person's modern bible, elaborating on the topic.
