Are you kidding me, I drive a Lumina?! No, the gauge went out about two weeks after I bought the car. I have had the sensor replaced but that only lasted about six months. I gave up and just fill up every 250 miles. If for some reason I can't, then I make sure I do by 280. Otherwise, I have a problem.

Have no reason not to trust it-100%. Have never run out of gas when my gas gauge indicated that I had gas-a sure reason for me to know its not reliable so in case I could not afford to fix for it is expensive would make it a habit to gas up after so many miles or if just normal driving wice a week but if planning trip or a longer drive would gas up before I'd begin.

As much as I have to. My dad has had me brainwashed since I first got my license, "Never let it go below half a tank!!!" Whenever I see I'm nearing the halfway mark, I panic for a moment thinking, "OMG, I need gas!" Good news is, I've never run out, and when prices were so high, it hurt half as much! LOL Thank you, Daddy!

I do. I drove 32 more miles in the mountains after the warning light came on. It was sitting right on empty when I pulled up to the pump, but it was still running. How much do I trust it? I trust it for 32 miles after the light comes on.

I trust it pretty much, but I rarely go below half a tank so I don't know if I would if I was close to empty.
