The scrapbook was an awesome idea. I would do something similar - something to her personality. If she likes to cook, find her favorite foods and make a personalized cookbook out of it. Find out what she likes to do, then embelish and personalize it.

I don't know the scrap book showed a lot of time and thought. Topping that would be difficult. But some gifts that I've given girlfriends moms that went over real well were bath salts, a day at the spa and class on chinese cooking.

- ring/necklace with all of her kids birthstones.
- make a video with pictures of the past with her wedding pics/family pics and the future pics of you and her son, if other sons and their gfs. have a sweet song playing in the background
I really dont know what eles you could buy her, doesnt have to be sweeter than the scrap book if you run out of ideas watch and listen to things that she wants or needs.

You sound so nice. I wish my DIL would do something like that but she does fix my network for free.
Anyway, do you want to make something? or will you buy something?
I am getting everyone I know Crocs shoes this year. They are so comfortable, you can wash them and they come in all sorts of colors. I like Crocs Prima Ballet slippers and you can get them on Ebay.
She might like a gift certificate for nails and pedicure or a massage or to a hair salon
A gift certificate to her favorite restaurant
Really nice slippers and a robe
A box of expensive chocolate truffles or you can make them yourself.
If she has special recipes you can make a little book of them so she can give them to her friends and family

You can't go wrong with home and body essentials. Try Wicker Candles they smell great, and make a nice crackle with their wood wick. Lotions and soaps are also great!
But something really nice would be a home made video with all the pictures...from the family

Give her a gift certificate to her favorite restaurant. Make it for two so she can take someone along with her.
