Look ni**er is a really disresectful word to black people and when Michael Richards said it everyone goes crazy, but if chris rock or dave chappelle did the same thing no one would care. I think that the word ni**er is a word that should never be used unless it's for educational purposes. IN comedy htere should be no saying of the ni**er even if you are black, white, asian, whatever yous hould not say it. Any kind of racism jokes or racism words should be banned form comedy.

Sorry I didn't mean to put Dave Chappelle or Chris Rock use the words, I just meant to say that if everyone in the media says the word then everyone will start saying it, so teh media is the problem here not black people saying the word. Some of the black people are saying it because of the media.

When does Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle represent a whole community? Why do rappers have to represent it either? I personally do not use the word and I don't think anyone in my family uses it either. And there are many others I know who don't. Its not right to classify everyone into a group base on people you see in the media. I don't even feel they are representative of me and the people I know at all. So why do they keep being used in these examples to represent us all?

Ok, Michael Richards had no punch line, and his tirade was malicious and full of emotion. When Dave Chappelle did his skit about "the N-ers" it was a joke. Also, when a white person says that word, it could be because they think poorly of black people. Now if we KNOW for a fact this white person is joking and is not racist, then that's different. If a black person says the n word..........well that person is black, so of course they aren't using it in a demeaning way.
Just like if some guy got on stage and started using the word bi.t.c.h to refer to females all the time - if I KNEW he was saying it in good humor, that's one thing, if he was saying it because he's sexist and has a lack of respect for women, I'd hate him and fantasize about kicking him in the balls so hard that he'd never be able to reproduce. Same thing - I can call my self a b.i.tch, but if some guy calls me that, and is serious, there are going to be problems.
HOWEVER, I am not saying that I think people SHOULD say that word - I don't like the word and I don't use it. I don't particularly like the word b*tch either.
Dave Chappelle is great though - hilarious.

Why do you feel you should say it? I don't use that word nor do I allow my children to.
It depends how it is used in a sentence as well. No one would care about Chris Rock or Dave Chappelle, because they are african american - that is their choice. I say leave it alone.

Genetically, he's considered black because his father replaced into black and his mom replaced into white. There replaced into once a time period for a racially-blended human being of African/white descent, and replaced into observed as Mullato. notwithstanding, that element period looks to have fallen through the wayside. at the same time as Senator Obama does have the further dominant features of his Afro father, undergo in concepts that he's 1/2 white. yet who supplies a care? I absolutely do not. he's a real gentleman in my opinion, and he has international kinfolk and charismatic charm. i should be proud and commemorated to be in his presence, and that i think he can make a mind-blowing president, notwithstanding I want Hillary Clinton. after I see Obama on television, i do not imagine of him as a black guy, yet as an officer and a gentleman -- era!

I think becuase they are calling each other that and therefore dont feel offended because they understand its not being used in a bad way..but if its someone not black then it is offensive.. and Michael Richards was definetely saying it to offend them becuase he was screaming it from the top of his lungs pretty much.

It is the race based double standard. You cannot ban racist words from comedy. If you do not like it, do not listen to it.

(clapping)....i couldnt have said it better myself..the word is derogatory and disrespectful if one race can use it then it should be allowed by all races. i dont think anyone should be using it . blacks dont want to be referred to as that then they shouldnt call each other that..they keep the word alive not whites or anyone else.
