How to remove grease stains from dark colored fabric?

I have a couple of shirts that appear to have gotten spattered while cooking. It's not coming out, even after spot treating. HELP PLEASE! The one shirt is my only option to wear for Thanksgiving, and it's too late to get something else at the store.

rub some Dawn dishwashing liquid or ERA into the grease spot...
and wash

soak the stain with Dawn or similar dishwashing liquid for a hour or so,than machine wash

a product called Up and Out sold at Home Depot works very well
