I'm trying to convert my videos for use with ps3, but I don't want big file sizes with MPEG 1 or 2, so I plan to use MPEG4. I really would like to use the x264 AVC codec. I tried using it and the megui GUI, I made the mp4 file, but ps3 wouldn't read it. Is there any other tool with advanced configuration using the x264 codec? I have gotten he MainConcept codec to work with Sony Vegas (Sony, go figure, lol) But it isn't as high quality as x264. I don't want PS3 video 9, as it is built for beginners, I would like an advanced video creator with advanced codec settings. If there needs to be certain codec settings set so that ps3 can read it, tell me here. Thanks.

I've tried ps3 video 9 and the reason I don't like it is because there is no 2 pass option

You can make PS3 Video 9 as advanced as you like, you can control pretty much every encoding setting from the console.

Try it, I'm sure that it won't let you down. I'm a video enthusiast too.

He dicho.
