There are rules for consciencious objection to being drafted. Check it out.

Not "wanting to go" and resisting the draft could get you arrested and thrown into a stockcade along with other political and non-political prisoners.

Do like many of your brothers did in the 60's & 70's, take a long vacation to Canada. When the war is long over, nobody will come looking for you, and you will be reabsorbed into mainstream America . . . way too old to be taken in any similar future draft.

Better to walk away from an unjust war with your life than to die in some God-forsaken land for a cause you find repulsive.

The legality of the war is not yours to question. If you choose not to answer the draft, then you violate the law. There are no gray areas. As a citizen, it is your duty to defend your homeland or perhaps become a subject of a foreign invader. Many men have died to defend what we have today and when you mock them because of their sacrifice, it belittles you as a person. In other countries you would be deemed a traitor and probably executed. Individuality does not count when the interests lie with the interests of majority.

That is not a choice for individuals to make. We elect representitives to make those decisions. Your otions are:
1) Serve
2) go to jail
3) leave the country.

Trust your instincts and don't be forced into anything you don't want to.

You may have a contract with the gov. if you are in the reserves and it may come to a dishororable discharge.

Maybe you can be one of the open minds over there. We REALLY need more thinkers over seas. Is seeing for yourself really that bad?
