My fiance just dumped me because I am too "Traditional" But what the hell is wrong with wanting a woman to fulfill the role God intended for her? We are not supposed to be equal! I will take care of her if she is submissive and does what I ask, I will be fair, what is this sorry world comin to?

The bible has stated that women should be submissive to their husbands. It also states that men women should submit to men. God did not create men and women to be equal.

You just decided that God intended for a woman to blindly obey?

Who are you to decide what a woman's role is?!!

If Eve was made from Adam how is she less than he is?
Doesn't that mean that men and women are equal in humanity?
They are not equal biologically. This is the only difference.

Sounds like you want a cute little puppy to follow you around.

How are you going to be fair to a woman if you have unjust beliefs?

How would a woman follow your lead if you look down on her? She wouldn't trust your common sense in the first place.

Decisions that affect her can't be made by only you!

Adam was created from earth and Eve was created from Adam, she was created from a living soul and he was created from a lifeless object! That's why there are still men like you.

Do some Islamic researches (Koran: the Muslims' holy book, and the Messenger's speeches) and you will find that mutual desicions are taken by the husband and wife together. You will also learn that she is not to please him if he is disobeying God. She has a brain and she can think for herself.

By the way, Afganistani people are not Arabs! Koran is in Arabic as well as the Messenger's speeches. That's why they don't really represent every word in Koran or the speeches unless they study it. Many Muslim Asians who don't know Arabic go to the Azhar University in Egypt to learn about Islam. I've never heard of any Afghanistanis studying in the Azhar University.

Mikey NY:

In the words of that great champion of women's rights Rowdy Roddy Piper IT'S TIME FOR A REALITY CHECK!

You live in the Year Of Our Lord 2006 AD, and, judging by your screenname, you live in the Great State of New York.

Women today are EQUAL - they can vote, run for office, own property, marry who they choose, divorce who they choose, start a business, serve as commissioned officers in the armed forces, and pretty much do everything a guy can except play professional football (and give the ladies a couple of years on that one!)

In a couple of years our state's junior senator, Hillary Clinton, will probably be the next President of the United States.

So, in light of that fact, no wonder you have a hard time finding a submissive woman! Women don't want to be "taken care of" they want an equal partner, who will love and respect them, and treat them as his equal.

If you're looking for the "traditional" women may I suggest you move to the Islamic State of Afghanistan? Maybe you can buy yourself a Taliban wife!

God took a "rib" from Adams "side" and made woman. He did not take a bone from Adams "foot" that is below him. A woman is to be a mans partner in marriage. They both need to show respect for each others feelings and point of view and each should give and take. There is nothing wrong with your girlfriend being submissive sometimes if sometimes your submissive to her as well. Give and Take.

Feminism happened. People joining the 21st Century happened.

However, that being said, there are some women out there who would happily fulfill the submissive role. However, I don't think they'd take too kindly to not being considered equal.

If you will read down a couple of verses you will find...
Ephesians 5:25-28
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
What self proclaimed "traditional" men oft seem to forget is that Jesus always put others first. He humbled himself and served others while he was here on earth. Jesus suffered, was humiliated, beaten, mocked, and DIED for the church.........THAT's the husbands place in this traditional relationship you seek. Are you ready to do for your future wife what Christ did for his church? If not then prepare yourself for your "traditional" roll before you expect a woman to take on hers.

God taught you to love your wife not control her, Dummy!!! Im looking for a good girl that is willing to follow my leadership but she wont be my slave. She should be submissive only when making decisions for the both of you and you know its the right decision. Submission is trust not control. You must have a different GOD.

Yo Mikey your stuck in the past. I understand you wanting to take care of your women that's awesome most men these days don't but she needs to feel equal. My husband takes great care of me emotionally I depend on him so much when I'm feeling sad or mad he is there to make me feel better. However I can take care of myself to. I make more money than him and he likes that because he knows that if something happened to him I would be able to support myself and the kids.

to answer the first question, they're all dead. they probably died some time ago. or are living in another country. maybe you should move to one of those places. if you stay here, though, then there's not a great chance of you finding a woman who's submissive.

i'm going to have to agree with bored_at_work's response. my suggestion would be to pray and ask the Lord to show you what areas of your life need improving before you're truly ready to become a husband that loves his wife as Christ loves the church. Do an in depth study on Ephesians 5:25 and Colossians 3:19.
