my boyfriend is a doctor whom I discovered was calling female prostitutes online and transsexuals. I also discovered that he often wants to frequent gay clubs. What am I to think of this man? How? Why? He is well educated with a dark side. How sad - would you say he is gay or straight or ?????

the question is.. do you see yourself being with him long term?
if you do not like feeling what you are feeling right now, i think it's best if you would part ways because you will be the only one who will suffer in the end from constant paranoia.
I think your boyfriend is a straight man who is curious. He might be a time in his life that he wants to experiment with his sexuality. If he finds transexuals appealing, then he might still be straight because transexuals present themselves in the female form. I have read a study somewhere that there are some men who get attracted to transexuals because they get surprised about how feminine these"girls" can be , even more feminine than real women. In a sexual perspective, some men find transexuals appealing because it's the best of both worlds. it might sound sick to you, but it's true. There is no such thing as normal in this world. The aspect of living "normal" lives changes everyday.
Maybe the reasons he frequents gay clubs is he sees all these transexuals around and he is getting attractive to the gay scene.
Don't be sad for him sweetie. Because he doesn't need that from you and you dont need to put up this behavior. Let him go and let him be. It's time for you to live your life and find your own true happiness.

I would say he has spent a BUTT Load of Money on them that he could have been spending on your ring , But as far as your BF I would say hes "Very Adventureous", thats right on past Bi-curious or Bi-, I think hes out to make sure he gets all his pieces of the pie he feels he deserves,, Im Sorry Sweets, But I would say pack up and go,, unless you can live with and accept that sort of lifestyle from him, now if it was just him being Bi-sexual or being a crossdresser that may be easier to deal with, but the prostitutes to me crosses the line of when he says he "LOVES" Youand so pretty much he is announcing to you that he has No respect for you and your opinion does not matter to him,go run fast, get out,,

I always find it sad when someone wants a third party to put a label on someone instead of asking that person first. I think you are asking the wrong question here anyway.... I think the question here is: do you want to continue the relationship with him if he is seeking other sexual partners (reguardless of their gender)... and that is a question only you can answer.
