Yes, they were so funny in a really stupid way. I would stay up and watch the Beavis and Butthead Moronathon on MTV. No matter how funny Cartmen is, he still can't top Cornholio.

i only saw beavis and butthead once. that was enough. however, during one video there was an old man playing a banjo while a rock song played and butthead said "that old dude sure gets a lot of sound out of that banjo". for some reason that cracked me up and still does whenever i think about it!

Beavis was a masterpiece and a metaphor for American Society. It will be on par with Shakespear of our time.

B & B were OK, but the series that spun off from them - "Daria" - was even better. It relied on intelligent, witty discourse and sharp characterization instead of shock value and clowning to get its points across.
"Daria" was, atypically for MTV, one of the best series ever put on television.
