The UN is controlled by the security council where the permanent members have a veto.They are first and foremost responsible for any failure of the UN in anything.I admit it's more than annoying but it's also weird to blame the UN as a front to not have to blame the world community.
The UN can only be as strong or as weak as its members

I'm not annoyed, I'm totally disgusted. Darfur is only 1 of the reasons.

The idea behind the UN was good. But......

How can you expect results when the people that should be restrained are allowed to vote on whether they should be.

It would be like asking a killer "Do you think you should be locked up?".

Darfur? What about Iraq? the UN has made tons of money off of iraq in the Oil for food scandal. Illegal war my ***!

peace-making and -keeping in Iraq and Afghanistan. More dialogue and intervention in the MiddleEast in their normal nonmilitant way.
