If you are considering joining the military service after high school graduation then your best option is to take Junior ROTC and learn the basics before going to Basic Training. You will come out farther ahead than other trainees and your confidence will show.

I took Army ROTC in high school and it paved the way for my military career. The things I learned in ROTC stayed with me for more than the 20 years I spent in the Army.

BOTTOM LINE is be prepared to go into the combat zone. The military is desperate for warm bodies and will have to get them somewhere. Frankly I would not be surprised if that idiot Bush started firing nukes. A nuclear war would diminish the need for ground troops. Fortunately he is probably too stupid to figure out how to do it.

My policy about the military has always been: DON'T ASK about the miltary, DON'T TELL about the military!
