Now they're talking about lawsuits and maybe even criminal charges because some bonehead hurt some people's feelings. I think all the people who are outraged over his insults should be sent to Afgahnistan or the Sudan or Saudi Arabia or Pakistan so they won't have to listen to ugly Americans anymore.

It's a sad thing when people are getting publicity on CN&N because a comedian hurt their feelings. I get my feelings hurt every week & you won't even hear me on the radio. If this doesn't prove that we live in a lawsuit-happy country, I don't know what does.

While it's true that stand-ups usually show a little more restraint & wit when they're getting heckled, let's not forget that #1 Stand-up comedians are NOT role models, they're entertainers, #2 We're not sure exactly what was said by the hecklers, we just saw his response, and #3 Let's all get over ourselves!! Some of my favorite comedians laugh @ white people all the time and say all manner of insensitive, racially motivated things, but you don't see them getting sued for being "hurtful".

*Sheesh* Ok, I'll get off my soapbox now.

Society is so negative that media has taken it upon itself to create as much news as possible. The people He jumped on had no right to jump on him in the first place. If you do not enjoy an act then leave or do not applaud. His right to perform and not be ridiculed was abridged first. Looks to me like some loud mouthed punks stepped out of line and very quickly it was turned into a racial thing. Those two guys should have been showed out of the audience as soon as they started attacking him. His inability to react properly was wrong but it was a reaction not an action. The public needs to get off that race junk. What do you think would happen if a white man attacked a ***** act at the Apollo?? Bet the comedian would not get in trouble for bad mouthing the cracker.

Little by little we all are losing our rights. Too many special interest groups are controlling our lawmakers and judicial system. With that said, I do not like the fact that any race of people is verbally attacked by anyone, just because they are of a different ethnic background. However, all of us should realize that everyone cannot be politically correct all the time. I have been degraded because of being a half-breed(1/2 American Indian and 1/2 white. I've seen my mom and dad degraded, belittled, and denied even some of their human rights. However, I have endured, and so did they. We need to become more forgiving, less expectant of people always doing and saying the right thing, and get on with our lives. Sooner or later, the bigots and buttholes will get their come uppence.

I think you're over-reacting. No one is going to file any lawsuits. Where did you get such a story!? And how do you know that some people's feelings were hurt. Oh. I see. It's all right for Mel Gibson to "hurt' Jews feelings and the Jews were supposed to just sit back and take it. O I see.But they didn't did they. They didn't just sit back and 'enjoy' insults.
But anyway I think most Blacks could care less about Kramer or what he had to say. No matter how many apologies, he spoke from his heart. He said exactly what he wanted to. And guess what! the only people who would give this idiot the time of day are members of the media.

No offense to the black folks, because i aint racist in any way. But black jokes have been around since civil war times. Is it right? No. So if it has been accepted for all these years, why start going to court now. I mean look at President lincoln, He had slaves. Its an age old problem in this country that become a right when they Constitution was signed. Its a part of life, weather it be right or wrong.

And another thing, why is it ok for Chris Rock and Richard Pryor to make black jokes but a white boy from southern illinois cant? Well if thats the case, then im suing for every black boy that calls me "cracker" or "whitey" -- STOP COMPLAINING PEOPLE!!

I have not heard about it, but I have seen Mind of Mencia and Dave Chappelle. Both are funny and hit every race hard and fast and funny. But, I would bet the comedian in the LA case is white?

People do need to laugh at themselves. Even if the person is being a bigoted jerk. They have the right to express their opinions and everyone has the right to avoid that show or person all together. But, if they do something to some one of another race they should be nailed to the wall.

The story is a story not because of what was said but because of who said it. It is a familiar face to many people and it was shocking what he said. If you think people being offended by it is strange then you live in some sort of self-contained land of dillusion. Some people are proud of America because it overcame stupidity like this. If you think people should use their influence and wealth to put others down then YOU are the one that should go to a country where it is far more popular.

Yeah, everyone gets to serious, back in the 60' or 70's when the TV program, "all in the family" with Archy Bunker, it was fun for everyone, we all laughed and it was good to make fun of each other, it really helped everyone loosen up, but not today, you can't even make fun of a three legged dog trying to pee without getting sued...

He was not telling jokes he was going on an insane tirade, it was obvious that he was not joking! Who the hell jokes about people being lynched anyway?.... Everyone always wants to say that someone is overreacting until they are on the other end of it! I don't get why some of you are trying to justify his behavior everyone who claims to not be racist should at least admit that he was out of line but apparently lots of non racist folks think it is quite okay to make crazy statments about lynching people...
