I was thinking the same thing! It was hard for me to watch the rerun on TBS last night. Things aren't the same anymore. I can't believe what happened with Michael Richards. I'll never look at our beloved Kramer the same again.

I found it hard to still watch Seinfeld about 5 years ago. Seriously haven't you seen every episode made at least 10 times. Let it go. He made a mistake. He knew his career was over, and when the guy started making comments about it (which was rude also) He snapped. Now it's REALLY OVER.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm a black guy (26 yrs old), when Seinfeld first came out I never watched it because I was always watching that FOX Thursday line up of Martain & NY Undercover. Plus I thought the show was extra corny. But when they started showing reruns my roommate (who is also black) put me on to it. I did enjoy some of the episodes. But after Richards went on his tirade I kinda find it hard to watch. Im well aware that Kramer is just a fictional character but I dont want to support someone with views that we should be "hanging from trees". Thats how that guy REALLY feels and he is only sorry because someone caught him on tape and the new season of Seinfeld coming out on DVD. I have read some other post saying its cool for black people to say the n word and I dont think it is. I think the media is fueling this by allowing the profanity to be use uncensored on basic cable shows like Chappelle Show & The Real World. I was watching the Wire last night on BET and I thought how uncool is it that they have to bleep every other curse word but the n word is OK. Sorry, I might be slightly off topic but everyone needs to cool out. Im not gonna speak for all black people but for myself and cats in my circle that we was starting to warm up to the show, interest is now lost. Oh Well.... do you know if any of the people in Friends are racist?

No. Everyone screws up now and then - says something or does something they will regret every day for the rest of their lives. Sometimes someone's anger just gets out of control and words are spoken that can never be taken back. People have committed murder - a far worse action - while in a fit of anger. And forgive me for asking this, but doesn't freedom of speech cover everyone, even when the words are hurtful and offensive? No one seems bothered by the outrageous words used to describe women, and believe me, if most of us didn't have a backbone, we'd all be huddled in the corner crying. Shoot, you can't call a guy any name that doesn't reflect badly on his mother!! Forgive and get on with your life. It will happen again somewhere, some day.

It's probably just you. Kramer is looked at in a different light now. I still watch Seinfeld though.

Don't worry about it - there are plenty of better shows out there. If you like Seinfeld - watch Larry David!!
