I will presume you mean 'openly gay' President since many historians think we've already had a couple of closeted homosexual men serve as President. The answer is; probably some day. Not soon, but when the citizens of this socially backwards nation evolve enough, yes.

no, we wont even get to see a woman president or black president let alone a gay one, our country is to conservative, the entire south wouldnt vote for a gay president, america is a homophobic country, we are scared of gay ppl and what they do in each others bedrooms at nite, if u look at our senate and politicians, anyone of them that is gay, is somehow only scandulous, and never appreciated for doign anything good, gays and politics reallyd ont mix becuz if u are a gay politician they think that u are only there to get gay issues across and nothign else matters. sorry to say but so long as america is the way it is, old farty rich white men who are products of nepotism will continue to win

Odds are pretty good there has already been one or possibly two. The better question would be, will there ever be an openly gay president.

American? Hope you guys be more specific in your questions coz not everyone here is American :) With a strong evangelical group in your country, I doubt an openly gay President can be elected. And Americans are not interested in voting. 60% voter turn out is normal there but it is quite low compared to my country's 80% voter turn out. Until Americans get more involved, change can never be achieved.

No much like there wont be a Atheist president. To far out of the norm. Did you notice how George Bush is always holding hands with other guys??? Like he was leading Puttin around with holding his hand on the ranch. I think it is soooooo cute.

Probably not. People are barely comfortable with a Catholic in office, let alone a homosexual.
I agree, one's sexuality does not interfere with their ability to do a job, but it can effect their ability to get elected.
