No one is perfect. Babies will grow into their ears and when the head is bigger it won't be as obvious.

I'm sure it is. Relax. I think it's normal to examine your child and look for inconsistencies and problems. But it's the absolute MOST likely that your baby's ears aren't different enough to be discernable by anyone but you. If they are, it's again most likely that this is normal. People typically are not asymmetrical, and sometimes even to relative extremes. For example, people who wear different shoe sizes on each foot or have their bras altered to accommodate different sized breasts aren't THAT uncommon.

But seriously, I would check with your pediatrician if you feel it's overly noticeable or are worried it might represent a problem. It's probably worth the cost of seeing the doctor to put your mind at ease.

Good luck!

Unless the size difference borders on deformity, then I wouldn't worry about it. Nobody's face is perfectly symmetrical. At your baby's next dr. appointment, mention the size difference and see what the dr. says. If there's a deformity there, it could run as deep as your baby's ear canal and cause hearing difficulties, but that is a worse case scenario and it is unlikely you would have left the hospital without knowing about a hearing difficulty since newborns have their hearing tested in the hospital now before being discharged.

As long as it's not a drastic difference I would think it is pretty normal. Just like how some people have a foot that's a little bit smaller than the other or a breast that's a bit fuller than the other. Don't worry!

My sons' ears are like that, one looks different than the other and is bigger, I was so worried for the longest of time, but I talked to his Dr. and he said that it's just not symmetrical, but it was alright. I think it's cute now though. My neice was just born and hers are that way too, so don't worry.

My nephew is 6 months and has the same issue...I think he's adorable and it's not so drastic that everyone notices...just people who look closely. He'll grow out of it.
