my nephew has a gameboy sp and i can't remember if gameboy advance games can be played on it. could someone please tell me what type of games are compatible with a gameboy sp.

I assume by "Gameboy SP" you mean Gameboy Advance SP? In any case, a Gameboy Advance SP can play the following:
original Gameboy Games
Gameboy Color Games
Gameboy Advance Games
Pretty much the only thing it can't play are DS games and non-Nintendo portable games.

All gameboy games are compatible. From the orijonal to the color to the advence. I reccomend you get a ds.

yes they can......i have a gameboy sp and i have like a tons of games for it..................the game boy games can be played on the sp..........plus there iz no such thing az games for sp.....

any games can b used...duh...even the older ones.however u CANT use newer games on older game boys....so there kinda r ones more made for sp.
