I would put everything she had on and had with her in the wash and use hot water, and dry them in the dryer. The fleas won't servive unless you have a pet they can feed on so you should be fine, if for any reason you find any more bites on anyone else in your household I would go to home depot and get a flea bom for your house.

I agree make sure the clothes are all washed and they can only live for a while. If i'm not mistaken after they bite they die. I would put some calamine on the bites to keep them from itching on your daughter. That or some thing to take away the itch. Where ever she was I would stay away for awhile until they took care of their problem. You can buy sprays for your home to kill fleas. She probably didn't carry enough home to cause you any hardship but I would buy some spray just in case as a preventative measure. Flea bites are like mosquitoe bites but smaller. They do heal and disappear. Good luck. You don't have a pet so I think you can breath a little easier than someone that would have a dog or cat. Then they can be bothersom and get into the rugs.

If there are no pets inyour home, don't panic. Just wash the clothing and bedding in question as well as showering your daughter. Fleas should no longer be a problem( Doesn't hurt to vacuum well and make sure the bag or canister is dumped away from the house. Bed bugs, as a previous answerer mentioned, are becoming a problem , after years of being scarce. Same precautions, Watch for more bites and jump on it . treat existing bites with over the counter anti-itch ointment.
Please also allow for the chance that this is an allergy to whatever detergents they use for laundry. No one's or thing's fault. A learning experience.

If your daughter was at a house that had fleas, it would be more likely that she would have bites around her lower legs and ankles. Those are the parts of the body closest to the floor where the fleas live when they aren't on the animals. An alternative would be to ask her if a pet slept in a bed with her. If not, I would consider options other than fleas for a reason for the bites.

Did she spend the nite? Bed bugs are back now in full swing after many years of not hearing about them. also could be flea bites. Get a bottle of witch hazel and use that on them also good for itching and minor irratation. drug store carries it over the counter. Start using the flea drops on your pets and have her tell her friends to use them to.and than the fleas will be gone if you are consistant and use for a few months to break the flea cycle. yes you can carry them home with you in your clothes educate yourself and your friends on this. the vet can tell u the best drops to buy but make sure it gets the egg and the flea because of reproduction.

Treat the bites the same as any bug bite. I like aloe vera gel.
Your house will probably not get infested from this visit. Dog and cat fleas don't prefer people, and they jump back off the person after biting.
Your daughter's friends must be immune to fleas! They don't bite me either, even when a place is infested. But some people get so many bites, it looks like measles!

If they ARE flea bites, it is probable that they are in her clothes and hair. Wash her clothing/any bedding that she took with her in hot water and a little extra soap (might need a 2nd rinse). Make sure she takes a good bath and check her hair. If need be, use a Q tip with peroxide on it to swab the bites and then dab a very small amt of neosporin or caladryl lotion on them to clear them up faster. It IS also possible that they may have gotten in your home as well (not to alarm you) but if they did, you will notice it almost immediately, especially if you do not have pets-the fleas will attempt to survive off of your family. If left unattended they WILL lay eggs. If you continue to notice a problem, you can get a fogger from walmart (Hartz makes an excellent one-- about $7-$11 for 3 cans--I know from experience due to the fact that we live in the country and have several pets and fog OFTEN). You would need to purchase multiple foggers (3 packs are available) and place them through out your home (follow directions on packaging) and it will kill the existing fleas and their eggs. GOOD LUCK!!! i know how irritating they can be!!

its possible she just had an allergic reaction to their pets. you can use benedryl gel on the bites/area of reaction. its in a clear bottle with a green top. fleas are the worst insect to get rid of..the best defense against them is your vacuum cleaner. if you start to see fleas then you need to call your local exterminator..good luck

Put rubbing alcohol on the bites. I would wash her clothes in hot water, if you notice more bites on her or anyone else in your household; then I would suggest treating your house. There are a number of remedies at your local walmart or any store. Lot's of luck!

fleas breed in places such as grass and carpet, and can breed very quickly and feast on humans! eek! the red bumps sound like flea bites. the best way to get rid of them is use a flea bomb. you use it in the house, you have to leave for like 4-8 hours depending on the kind you get. try to keep your house as cold as poss cuz its harder for them to breed when its cold. i think you can get flea bomb at places such as walmart, grocery stores etc
