I care about who I am. I try to be a decent sort of guy, someone worthy of respect, valued as a friend, viewed as having something to contribute to society. When I stumble, I try earnestly to make amends.

As a man who happens to be gay, if my orientation has anything to do with others perception, then I can only hope that it is to the good. If I am dismissed right off the bat as having no value because I happen to be gay, then so be it, I really have no need or desire to dissuade them or be around them. To most straight people, I do care that I do come across as someone of value and worth. I believe that most people, gay and straight are basically good people and will give anyone a fair shake.

But in the end, what others choose to think about me is beyond my control once I've done my best, and I make no apologies for that. Approval is nice, disapproval is their loss.

As a straight person, I don't care what others do sexually.

But to identify yourself as either gay or lesbian...what else do you have to offer the world, besides a claim on your sexual preference?

It's like the soccer mom's who have on the back of their SUV's : MY CHILD WAS...

Really, who cares but her?

Who should really care about your sexuality but you? No one. There much more important things to do in life than participating in a parade and flaunting:I'm Straight! I'm Straight! Deal with it!

See what I mean?

Ummmm not particularly. I value the constructive opinion of close friends straight, gay whatever,

Rarely has any straight man or woman ever said anything nasty to my face. What they say behind my back just shows what they are, cowards. If i'm told that some one has been bad mouthing me or my partner, I will confront them to repeat what ever they have on their mind...they don't. Best to ignore the ignorant s.o.b's

In general it is a thing that takes time to develop. The more you love and accept yourself the more you don't care what others say.

I don't give a rat's about what the BIGOTS have to think. because what they think is a load of crap. the people I care about are my family, friends and my partner.

I care only about the opinions of stragiht people whom I respect. If someone is full of rage and hatred for me, because of with whom I have a relationship, they are not worth my time and get no respect..

Nope! yet, I once dated a lesbian chick in my youthful days, and she or he became a wealthy be-itch and so became her girlfriend. It became exciting for awhile, yet I had to get out of that courting, spooky!
