being an employee means doing your job, working hard and doing it well, sometimes entails mental and emotional challenges from a perfectionist boss. in exchange you get (sometimes)equal compensation, plus you have employee benefits --health, accident, regular check ups, discounts and all that. a slave means doing the particular job hired for and recieving possible orders from the boss to do stuff that are really not in the scope of work --plus overtime, a little bit of verbal, emotional, mental, physical abuse for nothing or minimal compensation not equivalent to the hard work involved.

Slaves had no choice about what work they did. We have consequences of leaving a job but itf they did they could be killed or seriously injured and restrained and only let loose to work and then be restrained again like an animal.
If you have a psychotic boss you have alternatives, slaves didn't.
Also you have rights as an employee, slaves had no rights.

employs are slaves of government, and slaves are people being working for people.
employs get sufficient salary, but slaves get unsatisfied wage.
employs's standard of living is better comparing with slaves.
employs generally suffers with low salary during a financial crisis or during price rise, but if slaves do somewhat a little wrong then they have to suffer from it by giving their whole life to work at that house becausethey are considered culprit for doing either steal or doing any small mistake.
