I just had this problem with my 2 yr old, except her problem is allergies. Anyway, her medication didn't seem to be helping,so I talked to her ped. and told her. She told me to increase her dosage just slightly and that fixed the problem.

Call your dr. and see if this would be an appropriate answer to your problem.

Colds can be deceiving. The worse of it should last about a week, goobery nose....etc. And a cough could last for awhile longer. If she's still in bad shape and NOT improving...meaning is she not any better than she was 3 days ago...then go back to the DR. She may have caught something else....

She might have caught two colds back to back, since you've already taken her to the doctors, you'll just have to wait it out. You can run a cool mist humidifier in her room to help her sleep and breathe better during the night. or if you can't get one, a nice warm bath, bring her in a steam shower (don't let the hot water run on her). It will have to run it's course unfortunately.

A cold will last 7 days with medication and a week without it.

How old is your baby? you should be very carefull because it could be the flu which is much more strong than a simple cold, i recommend you go to the pediatrician
