Well, first of all what ever your EX did does not affect the child in the picture. It is a shame that she had to go and do this and hurt you and cause turmoil in the child s life, but it happens, Child support if you go through the DA's office or through the courts, is based on your income they take into consideration your costs of living and things but it is the income that will make it some what fair. I am not sure what a reasonable amount would be if you both cannot afford this child to begin with. But good luck to u

Adultery is not considered during the determination of child support.
After weekly gross income is determined, certain reductions are allowed in computing weekly adjusted income which is the amount on which child support is based. These reductions are specified below. If work-related child care expense is paid, it is subtracted from total weekly adjusted income in arriving at combined weekly adjusted income. Then an adjustment should be made in arriving at Weekly Gross Income of the parents in instances where either or both have natural or legally adopted children who were born or adopted subsequent to the prior support order and who live with the parent involved in this matter. Then the amounts of alimony ordered in decrees should be deducted from Weekly Gross Income. Cost of health insurance and how many nights child spend with each of parent is determined and factored in.
Those rules are similar in all states.

The courts will award full child support ( the child didn't commit the adultery) The father of the child will have to pay support monthly and be in arrears if he doesn't pay up. The guy better get himself a full-time job to meet the monthly fee assessed by the courts.

Depends what state you are in...Normally you can get an idea by using one of those free child support calculators...Just google it and each state should have one...Once you find the site...You'll need to plug in your income and her income...Then the total calculation you'll get on the site is pretty much close to the one the judge will give you...

As for payments...If you and the Ex are in good standing a direct check would be good...Just make sure you keep copies of the check just in case something comes up in the future...If you are trying to use the pay the court idea so that they can keep the record for you...Well they're not really realiable for that kind of things...I suggest you yourself keep track of things...ALWAYS keep records of EVERYTHING...

Good luck.

Depends on the net income - meaning after deduction of ur expenses. This is for the child support and the court wont' see the fact of why and the reason divorced take place.

The court won't take adultery into account for calculating the amount. They will take it into account for who gets custody if both parties want custody. I would say he is going to get custody. Maybe a quick change of heart is in order if you want to stay with the child.

Always better to pay through the court, and not directly........it saves every ones butt. There is a certain percentage the court goes by. If it isn't enough money, the judge can order the father to get a better paying job, or another job.

It is doubtful the court will take the adultery into consideration when calculating child support.
