She is 12, and she's not into things like stuffed animals or things like that. So instead of those things this year, what do you think I should get her?

I would get her some cds of a band she likes and then make something like a family tree to make her feel important- my parents did that for me when I was 12 and since I have made one for my children for when they turn 12- also, electronics are ruling the scences today. Dolls, .....

Take her for a "Day of shopping" and you let her pick things she would like. Keep within you budget, but explain why certain purchases are unacceptable, while others are.

It's all about the electronics these days.
Oh and the ZoomBox is cool too.
It's a projector that plays games, movies, and music.

I would get her an ipod nano. Got one for my teen age daughter for her birthday and she loves it.

she at that point where you should just ask her or just take her into a store and watch what she picks up!!!! thats how i do it
