Word and powerpoint are part of the Microsoft Office Suite, not part of XP Media Center Edition.

No Office Pack that a extra... Now what you can do with Media that you can't do with home is Video Graphics. Watch TV, FM, Hook up Cable TV, TV GUIDE, Play Video off the Internet, and all this can be sent to DVD,VHS,TIVO Recorder or Add a second screen all kind of Trix's. You even get a remote. That Cool....Forgot it also has it own recorder build in so you can pause live TV> and watch later...Oh it come with 3 Month trial... But MS offer free viewers now.

MCE is just another version of XP. More than home, but less than pro.

You are thinking about Office. No - you get none of these.
