Skorts are shorts with an actual extra piece of fabric over the front to make it appear as a skirt; culottes are just very wide short pants. Culottes don't have that extra piece of fabric, they appear skirt-like because the legs are so wide.

I'm going with culottes. At least skorts look like a cute skirt from the front. Culottes look hideous from all angles.

Culottes are longer and some time plaeted .Skorts are shorter and are some times all one peace or connected thats as best i can do.

Culottes are longer shorts just at the knee and are a little baggy int leg and tighter in the bottom..........Skorts are shorts with a flap in the front (makes it look like a skirt).
Haven't heard the term "culottes" in years! They were popular in the 60's and 70's and yes I as around!

Also, culottes are below the knees and a skort is like a mini.

culottes are baggy shorts i think and a skort is a skirt and shorts combo
