i heard there is a difference in buying component cables than just using the plain composite cables that you get with it. can someone just clarify this and if the graphics are better with the component cables where to buy them.

i use plain composite cables but my dad went to a friends house and played te wii with the special cables and he said the graphics were much better but the cables are like $50

In general the fewer signals carried on a line the better the quality. Composite (usually yellow RCA type) carries the whole video signal. Component cables use separate cables for each color component of the video. Should result in a better picture. However the TV must support the component video and be of sufficient quality for you to tell the difference. For most TV's/people composite is fine. For a good HDTV/Monitor/ really expensive setup go component. As for buying them try where ever you bought the WII or online.
