During the summer of 6th grade (many years ago) I went to a Christian overnight camp and after all I felt and learned that week. I knew I wanted Jesus for my life...I needed him to make it through

I asked the Lord into my heart after I had had an encounter with the Jehovah's witness. My life was quite complicated at the time and I was asking some very tough questions. Does God exist? Why are we here? What is the point? etc. etc.
When the Lord entered my heart - I felt a tangible peace that I had never felt before. My problems didn't go away - but I knew that from that moment on, I could count on support and help in seeking the right answers to my questions.

I was assigned to the branch medical clinic at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, Ca.. I was a hardened combat vet and had just ome off of probably the worst tour of duty in my career. I was assigned to work in Recruit Sick Call seeing and treating the little buggers for what ailed them. I'd been there all of about three weeks and was pulled into the Podiatry department, they were down to only one podiatrist and being a Sports Med guru, I wa the next best thing. There I met a guy who was not only to be my boss, but a close, life-long friend. I was a skirt chasing, beer guzzling, bar brawling, single parent who just didn't see a need for Jesus or God. Steve took me under his wing and pointed me in the right direction. He's in Chicago now and me, I'm retired in Florida. We haven't seen one another in years, but we keep in touch almost daily. And, married now, my wife and I drag our kids off to church at least twice a week without fail. I used to suffer horrible nightmares almost nightly, call it survivor's guilt, call it what you like, but with God's hand, I sleep most nights now. And, at my new little church, there's this old cogger of a guy. Norm's a sole survivor of his outfit after having landed on Saipan in WW II. He's survived five such landings. He too used to suffer, he and our pastor, a Vietnam vet with a purple heart and a medical discharge are about the only ones I/we can talk with who understand.

you should attempt a syllogism 365 prophecies interior the OT expected Jesus Christ, inclusive of a prophecy in Dan. 9 that expected the real twelve months of the arrival of the Messiah over 4 hundred years in the past the reality. guy isn't able to doing that; only God ought to accomplish this form of feat. consequently God does exist. you should probable blow holes in that syllogism, like how do all of us be attentive to that God is the only way such an precise prophecy is accessible. In my ideas i think of it extremely is real, yet can i myself instruct it? in spite of if somebody physcially encounters God and speaks to him, you are able to argue how are you able to instruct that fluctuate into extremely God. it extremely is like people who declare to have seen a great foot. some others and myself encountered a great foot on a fishing trip, and at that element there were countless sightings revealed and broadcasted interior the community media, yet how can i instruct i myself encountered one except I bodily very own one. Likewise, God is a non secular being, and you will't latch onto God and dissect him. yet i've got self belief there is as plenty evidence that God exists as there is evidence that the huge bang occurred. It comes right down to human beings's perceptions and what they're going to enable themselves to have self belief. some YEC's declare scientists won't be able to instruct a great bang.

That is a lovely story, truly; however, the only way to be saved is to accept Jesus as your Savior...that's all...read John 3:16. Happy Thanksgiving.
