Chinatown in San Francisco is by far the best Chinatown. It is at least ten blocks big and is near the intersections of Kearney St., Stockton St., Grant Av., Sacramento St., Pacific Av.

Every city has a Chinatown, but all of them are pretty small. Also, almost every strip-mall (string of stores along the highway) in America has a Chinese restaurant.

There is much to see in America. Los Angeles is very nice. The northside of LA is ritzy because of the movie industry. The rest of LA can be a little more dangerous. In LA, stay in the areas of Burbank, Beverly Hills, UCLA, Hollywood (goth/seedy), Santa Monica (beach), and Venice Beach. The boardwalk on the beaches stretches for miles. Disney World (or Disney Land) is also in LA (Orange Co.)

North of San Francisco, there are beautiful redwood forests. The Avenue of the Redwoods parallels Hwy 101. It's always raining continually in Seattle except in the summer.

Las Vegas is cool. The Hoover Dam near Las Vegas is cool. The Grand Canyon is sort of nearby.

The Rocky Mountains soar very high. It covers most of the west. There aren't any trees until you get to the eastern half of America. The Midwest is one huge farming area.

NYC has a skyline of skyscrapers that stretches for five miles. Boston had a better Chinatown than NYC, but still it was only two or three blocks big.

Washington DC has the National Mall that connects the White House, Congress, Lincoln Memorial, and Washington Monument.

The Appalachian Mountains (Blue Ridge Mts) can be scenic and good hiking.

Here is what you are talking about in Las Vegas - The Venetian Hotel. Scroll down on this page:

There is lots more to see and do in America.
Good Luck.

no, there is no "little venice" in las vegas. it's just a casino resort shaped after some of the prominent buildings in venice...it's not worth going to.

If you're looking for a good chinatown, and just a good city in general, go to San Francisco.

sadly - not much. I was born and raised in Oregon and lived here most of my life. I lived In Las Vegas for 4 years. I've never been out of the country or even in the middle of it. I've been up and down the West & East Coasts- but thats about it. I've always wanted to see Spain - maybe someday!!

it depends on what type of journey you're looking for. i like natural beauty of the parks like yosemite and grand canyon. from your description, it sounds like you want culture... the person above me has really good knowledge. SF or NYC will be your best choices. SF has the best Chinatown.
