I'm looking for a game that all my friends can play that isn't like Monopoly and something fun and entertaining to open people up. But not "Scene It".

Oh.. it doesn't have to be a board game persay just a party game is fine. Oh, and there's nothing wrong with Monopoly. Just trying to discover some of the newer games out there.

I'd strongly recommend the game Apples to Apples. A very simple game to learn, it can be as light or as intense a game as the players would like to make it. Apples to Apples is published by Out of the Box games, and should be available at any major chain store.

If you prefer a slightly more involved, but challenging game, I'd recommend "Time's Up." "Time's Up" is typically described by my group as "charades on speed." It's great fun, and can be a real brain burner. "Time's Up" is produced by R & R Games, and should be available at your local game store, if you have one.

Ah, c'mon, what's wrong with Monopoly? I love that game!

I like Scattergories too, that's a fun "thinking" game...Mad Gab is a pretty fun game and even funner if you can figure out what the heck the sayings are (unfortunately, I never can). And if ya have some guy and gal friends playing, Battle of the Sexes is a good one. Don't forget Yahtzee... I never get bored with that game.

But still... I recommend Monopoloy :)

i suggest " what if"?. it is a really fun game where players have to ask questions about other players or other people about really funny stuff. example question from the board game:

what if ____________ ( one of the players depending on where the die and main token lands) were a food. what would she be?

1. turkey
2. cotton candy
3. pickles
4. wheat bread
5. a spicy Mexican dish
6. popcorn with extra butter

you need three or more players, and the age range is 8 to 88. so have fun with this game, because it is very funny and enjoyable!
