You should do the right thing and go to the event.

It's called Thanksgiving and historically it's been a communal event.

We block out certain days on our calendar, and we know what to do on those days. Thanksgiving is one of those days.

PS. Reflect on the graces in your life and be thankful to our God tmw.

It's your parents and it's Thanksgiving.Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful of everything in your life and all the people that have helped u. So what do u really think u should do????? Stop and think hon,you can have your alone time anytime.Plus when u get older u will have so much time alone that u might regret u didn't spend this time with your parents.Plus they might not be here next year,.No one promises you that they will be.

Just go to the event and stay there for an hour or two and tell the people that you have to things at home that you got to go and do. and put your foot down. if they ask why then tell them cause it cant wait till the next day

Hi Conew, Go for the dinner to please your parents, after you eat then leave, and do what you want to do.I see no harm in that.
