I guess faith is like a good place to eat ,you get so excited about it you want to tell everyone to go there and expierence what you just did,so on a higher level the same with a persons belifes they want to tell the world about this great thing they have ,however on a sad note they become arrogant ,and judgemental and forget the words acceptance, and tolerance which live with the words love and if you remove then then hate moves in . Sorry I babbled didnt I? Well theres my answer anyway

I agree with you. These people are more commonly referred to as Bible thumpers, and shouldn't be walking around pushing their beliefs on everyone else. In the US Constitution, it guarantees us the right to freedom of religion, and they should abide by that. That's why the Jehovah's get the door slammed in their faces when they come to my house.

Some people just got to preach but I don't have a clue why it's not like you are going to change the other person's opinion.

Like you, I don't believe in organized religion. I am spiritual, not religious.
I have learned over the years that it is easier for people to repeat words drilled into their head by a "leader" than to think for themselves. That way, if someone disagrees with their opinion, they don't have to take responsibility for their answer.
So just ignore the answers with the familiar quotes....they are from people with no opinion.

i totally agree. it seems that religious people like to press their beliefs on everyone around them, but they dont want to hear what anyone else has to say, and if anyone else has a different opinion, they are wrong. yes i believe in God, but i dont need to prove it to anybody. i think if someone wants to hear preaching, they should go to church, but i dont think people should go around telling others how to live their lives. there is such a thing as making your own choices, right?

everyone has hang-ups and no matter what kind of response is given to a question someone out there is going to have a problem with it. I don't think anyone should be offended just because someone may say something that they don't agree with i mean after all this is America, and we all are intitled to freedom of speech. I mean if you don't agree with or like what someone has said thats your choice but why should people stop being who they are just because someone else is offended by it?

Go....Go into the light my Son and ye shall be saved!..........Nah.....just kidding with u.............I'm not of fan of the preacher man/woman either......they do get carried away sometimes.....must not have enough doors to knock on.
Everyone has a right to believe in whatever they want.....and I don't believe in organized religion myself (I'm sure I will hear it)all this stuff was designed to help those that fear death! That's my take.........and thanks....you make an excellent point! ur right!

I think that sort of answer is only appropriate if in the Religion and Spirituality question because you are automatically going to get Christian feedback.

I have seen offensive remarks made by believers and non-believers here. I think it boils down to following the rules of the site, and being respectful of everyone's right to believe as they wish.
