To give a good answer that I enjoy and hopefully the questioner will enjoy too. If the brainwave comes fast, well good for me then. If not, tough! Sometimes I'll even answer an "old" question. As long as it involves fun. To get best answer is just a bonus. So it's not about to be best or first, but if I have to choose, rather be best then. I put quality above quantity.

I presume that is what you meant by your question, first or best on Y/A

2. Take my time
I.E. I can spend a few days on an essay and then spend a good week (or 2) fixing it until I feel that it's perfect (then, I ask others to read/critique).
Being 1st is nice, but when it comes down to it.. being the best is wayyy nicer. My sister calls me a 'turtle,' but I believe as long as I get things done and get them done right, I'm fine.

I am such an emotional decider that it will totally depend on the moment in time for me. If I was forced to decide right now I would say #2.

To take my time and be the best, because if I hurry up and do something I am not always happy with the results.

It is usually more important to be good than to be first. So I work on high standards for everything I do. But no matter how good you are, there's always someone who is better.
