that is a lot. the cleaner is supposed to fix the entries or remove them for you. you might want to look over them before deleting in case it's something you wanted to keep. good luck!

Cleaning/Deleting all, should not be a problem if the software you are using is a good one.... But you might get a couple strange reactions from some software when you run them.... One cannot predict how some software use their entries into your registry hive. However, they usually eventually correct themselves. This is usually for software that use empty entries to keep information rather than storing data in a key. But this is rare... so you should not have any major problems.... 7,000 is a lot but if you not done this before and your Pc has used a lot of software of various types and so on... it can get quite filled.... You might want to defrag your registry after cleaning it.... as it might also be fragmented from so many modifications to the hive.

It didn't get a good review from cnet.com.

Before deleting any registry entries, back up the registry. This is essential as the wrong program deleted will cripple your PC. Most Cleaners will correctly clean the Registry, but some do make mistakes.

If you decide to go ahead and delete, do so with caution.

It's a lot but you've probably never done a reg clean before.

The registry needs cleaning frequently much the same as your hard drive needs to be defragged.

Don't be alarmed. Let the cleaner do its work. Run the reg cleaner at least once a week if not more frequently if you use your PC a lot for browsing etc.

Hope this helps.

Most of the registry cleaner applications have an option to save the deleted keys to a file so that you can restore them if you have to. Take that option first if you can, but really, I think the risk is pretty small.
