LOTS & LOTS & LOTS & LOTS OF SODA!!! It's all that will work! I assume they put her under?? It's the gel they put on the breathing tube that they put down her throat. I bet she didn't even know they did it.. The gel COATS the throat! Get a case of coke & go at it!! WATER WILL NOT CLEAN THE GEL OFF THE THROAT!!!

If the medication is causing dry mouth, there is nothing you can do to permenantly fix the problem except stop taking the meds. However there are products to help deal with it, such as aquae spray, dry mouth toothpaste and gel (?biotene is the brand I know of) available usually from pharmacies, which will relieve it somewhat. Water is good, and sugarfree gum or sugarfree losenges are ok, but the dry mouth can cause tooth damage so avoid chewing or sucking anything with sugar in it as this will make it worse.

ice chips or just ice or cold water its from the anesthesia-and breathing tube it will go away in a couple days i just had surgery as well took about 3 days
"net" You may have a sore throat after general anesthesia. Ask your caregiver about using throat lozenges or gargle with warm salt water. The sore throat is usually gone in 1 to 2 days. after breathing tube come out

Drink water of course. Also try sucking on ice cubes. Another one is pop cycles. Suckers or hard candy. Hope this helps. Tell her to get well soon!
