You know those backgrounds for aquariums that petshops sell?
Well I have a plywood aquarium (recently bought) the inside is painted blue (sealant). So I was wondering, is it possible to put them inside the tank? Without it bending, curling or doing anything else.

FYI, there are other types of aquariums besides acrylic and glass. Plywood is one type. You know, three sides of wood, sealed and glued with silicon, one side glass also glued with silicon.
It's called a DIY tank.

I am not sure if this is availabe where you are, but where I am they sell this bark from a certain tree(I think it's the cork tree). We just cut out the bark to fit the back of the tank and sealant it there. Looks fantastic.

There are also plastic background, which simulates natural rocks face or just some rough surface. These can usually be found at those larger aquarium that sells fish related product.

As for the background you mentioned, I think it wouldn't last long in the water. From what I have, they're basically a picture sandwhich between 2 plastic sheets. If left in the water for too long the water might (my did, it's not even submerge) sip in between the plastic and wet the picture itself. So it probably will not last.

Anyway, I know of a guy from the US that use a huge wooden crate to build an external pond, all he did was to buy some pond liner and wrap the inside of the crate with it. It was pretty cool. In Singapore someone striped a Juaguar(car) and fiberglass the interior, used it as a fish tank and it even had a fountain coming out of the sun roof :)

I would have a 200 gallon aquarium. Heavily planted with 20-30 Harlequin Rasboras, 5 Angelfish, and an Albino Bristlenose Pleco. Or maybe a 75 gallon shell dwelling cichlid tank with only shellies, a gray rock/sand substrate, a few plants, and lots of shells. I love all fish it's hard for me to just pick ONE dream tank lol

LOL!!
Plywood doesn't hold water, so yeah babe, go for it, put it inside, all the waters gonna leak out anyway, so it should be fine.
