Clay Aiken putting his hand over Kelly Ripa's mouth was absolutely disrespectful. It was not a matter of being judgmental about sexual orientation but a matter of personal hygiene. For pete's sake, who wants anybody's hand over their mouths??? I think Rosie O'Donnell reacting to that incident was out of hand. Raising the "gay rights" issue only makes her look like she's an insecure gay person. Everything for her is always trampling on her gay rights. Maybe it's time she looks at the mirror and ask if she herself is not trampling on basic human rights.

I fail to work out the question right here, besides. Kelly Ripa probable meant her remark to be a shaggy dog tale and the completed international (by ability of Rosie O'Donnell and Clay Aiken's insane fan club) blew it out of share. i'm no longer implying what Kelly suggested became ok or agreeing with it, yet even celebrities should be afforded the great element about the doubt each and every once in a lengthy time period. get over it.

While I thought I understoon Kelly at first - today on the news, they showed a clip of an old show were Kelly did the exact same thing to Regis!! SO, a little hypocritical if you ask me.

In the end, it was a bit of a tacky move on Clay's part - but Kelly's reponse and Rosie's drama were both just as tacky as well. It shouldhave been laughed off and let go - not turned into a major issue!!

Yea, I agree. Rosie should stay out of it and so should the media. If everyone just let it go, it would be just fine. I seem to think Clay and Kelly already did so so should everyone else.

I was just reading a yahoo article about that about an hour ago. I think Rosie made a big deal of it and it wasn't that serious. I didn't think Kelly implied that.

I think Kelly Ripa got carried away and just didn't know how to handle the situation.

I think it's sad that Rosie has to make everything into a 'gay rights" issue. I wouldn't want anyone I didn't know well putting their nasty hand over my mouth.

I think Kelly Ripa is a snot and she needs to lighten up who cares that Clay covered her mouth with his hand . Is she above everyone else now that she is famous? He was probably nervous everyone else laughed but her.......

Rosie sticks her nose in where it doesn't belong...all the time. I like how she put Clay out there as being gay, when he has never confirmed or denied his sexuality. Hmmm, does Rosie know something we don't?

Actually, Kelly Ripa is the troublemaker. She should have kept her mouth shut.
