save pics from one puter, and load them on another? I just got a new puter and I want some of the pics from that on this one. Both are laptops and all I have is a phone cord that came with the new one. NOT ETHERNET cable

It is a usb floppy.
they are both laptops
OS on old one is XP, and new one is Windows Media.

If the external floppy drive work for both computers you should be fine? It might be easier to email the pictures to yourself and then redownload them on the new computer.

As long as both are using the same brand of OS such as Windows. Because most pics are .jpg, .gif or other common format, all Windows should be able to open them as long as you have an application that can open pictures. Windows comes with a couple of different apps as part of the OS.

The only time you may have a problem if you try to open a Floppy that was formatted by a MAC or Linux. Even though these OSes uses the same type of Floppy, they format the floppy differently than Windows.
