Hi Denise!
I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Membership in my sorority on a graduate level is much different than on the undergraduate level. Membership on this level is by invitation only. You can not apply for membership like you can in undergraduate chapters.
You can get more information on our website: www.aka1908.com
Also, if you would like some assistance wading through the information or advice on some actions that you can take please feel free to email me. My email address is pinkpearl0872@yahoo.com. I will assist you to the best of my ability.
Best wishes to you on your endeavor!

Well, they're a national black sorority, so membership is pretty limited and they don't rush like all the other sororities (at least on our campus), so you need to talk to someone already in that sorority (they usually have letterman jackets, or you can check facebook and find some members). On our campus, they rush in the late-fall to early winter so you probably missed this season but if you plan to get in, it'd be better for you to befriend some of them to get an invitation to rush.

Hello, trying to join a graduate chapter of AKA is kind of difficult. It is a little more laid back and quiet kept than undergrad. The best way I would recommend is first checking to see if you know some members whether grad or undergrad and they can get you connected with a grad member. Who can give you more information. The first thing you need to do before all of that is make sure you have COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS. make sure that you have everything you need before going through with the process. You can also get info from our national website www.aka1908

because you are no longer an undergrad you have to contact a graduate chapter and this may be difficult because they are fewer in numbers than undergrad chapters and usually combine several metro areas. visit the site for the best info

Why on earth do you want to join a sorority. Take some time to discover how much better life is on your own.
