They take a while to settle down, and at 13 mine were ALL over the place! I think your friend sounds normal, but if she's really worried she should see her doctor for some reassurance.

It's very normal to not have a regular period when you first start. She should consider making an appt with her doctor to make sure that her hormones are in proper alignment too.
When I first started having my period I would have one and then go a couple of months without having one. It was about a year before they were every month.

No worries - period cycles take a while to settle down, and this is not at all unusual. It may even be that for a few months you don't have one when you are young. It will come back, and as you get older it will settle into a regular pattern.

it is VERY NORMAL to not have regular periods for the first few teen/pre- teen years if she is telling the truth she is not pregnant and it is nothing to worry about but going to the doctor would be a good idea and getting on birth control can help to keep periods regular but always use condoms diseases are out there especially for young people who have not been educated in sex

It is normal for periods to be a bit erratic in the first few years...don't worry...BUT I should expect that a 13 year old is NOT having sex.

Don't worry. It is quite normal for periods to be irregular from time to time, especially in early and pre-teens. If she continues to miss periods then she should see a doctor, but at the moment all seems natural.

I've skipped out for a month before If I remember.I have no clue why but it happened.Maybe next month it will return to normal.Maybe if she's going through alot of changes or playing sports that may be the reason.I'll be 13 next month so yea.It will probably return to normal soon.If not she might need to see a doctor.

A girl's period tells her that she's being a woman! She is going throught puberty! You will notice that she will form breasts, have some change to her waist, and some other things!
Periods aren't triggeered by sex.

She could just be off a little. If she misses it again she could just go to the doctors for a check up and make sure her hormones are alright. Then again if you're really not sure if she had sex or not she could take a pregnancy test.
