Red is a very bold color, and it stands out in a crowd and attracts attention to the person wearing it. E.g. A person may be good looking all of the time, but if your eye is drawn to them by red, you may just notice more. Plus, the 'fact' that red is a sexy color has been drilled into Amer. society's minds for such a long time that it is bound to influence the way people think.

When I put on red I feel like the most beautiful person in the world. I guess it is because red really compliments my skin. When I put it on it is like I am a different person inside the same skin. Even my friends know that when I put on red I am feeling good. So to answer your question, red has been the symbol of so many things for so many years. The time of year that you see the most red is at Valentines day and that is when people are really feeling love. When a woman puts on red lingerie she feels top of the world and she knows her man is looking at her and saying "boy is she sexy". Red just shines the right way, it has a special glow that cannot be denied.

I like black and pink as sexy colors. I guess red would be sexy because it is pretty and originally the color of love.

I am no Doctor. I am no Veteranarian. But Red sure seems to upset the bulls in Mexico. They charge.
The whores around the world choose to advertise with a red light.
A hot blonde in a hot red dress in a hot red convertable. etc. etc.
Maybe we are just conditioned to see red as sexy.
Would Blue be as sexy?
Kind of like Pavlov's dogs were conditioned to the whistle. I am sure they would have responded to a clap or the snap of the fingers.

Well, usually it is because it attracts everyone with it's brightness. Plus, red to me means passion, love, wine, romance, and perhaps seductiveness.
But I think black and pink is a sexy color too!

pink is sexier.
But I guess red is the color of sexy wine, sexy lips, & it's a valentine's day color. Supposively it's the color of love.
But I find pink a sexier color cuz it's a very feminine color and it reminds me of girls.
