At the end of the parade, you'll be able to see the balloon deflation on side streets near the parade route. They just release it into the air.

Disagree. the actual history is exceptionally murky universal, so there fairly isn't a "actual tale" to Thanksgiving.. that's a melange of issues that basically could no longer be suitable studied with floats & balloons.
