While the paramedics wheel Dallas into the hospital he passes Pony Boy and says something like "If you ever do something like that again I'm gonna kill you!"

Or when he goes to get Pony and Johnny to bring them back home. He looks around at the town and whines "What the heck do people do out here, anyways? Play checkers? This town is out of it...."

Or when he talks about trying to make a pass at Cherry by inviting her to the club, and she shoots him down. He then asks Pony "So, do you think she likes me?" Funny stuff.

Or how about when Pony and Johhny run to find Dally, and tell him that they just killed a soc. Dally says "Okay... good for you."

Matt has some of the best lines in that movie.

It's been a long time since I've seen that movie but I'd have to say "Do it for Johnny!" You had the underscores of life out there actually fightin for a cause, it was a good movie.

stay gold ponyboy...stay gold. its one of my favs right up there with patrick swazeys line in dirty dancing "Nobody puts baby in a corner" I still use that line sometimes on my son who is 2 1/2 when i push his high chair around the table. He just gives me a weird look. You know I havent read the outsiders in years...I should pick up a copy and read it this weekend.

i love the whole poem, stay gold.

i actually memorized the whole thing after reading the outsiders in 8th grade. and i recited it over and over again at random times.
