do you think Bush kept rumsfeld for the sake of his cabinet(rumsfeld cabinet-specifically Wolfowitz) due to outside pressure rather than keeping Rumsfeld himself ?

Well the neo cons obviously love Wolfowitz (who is the prince neo con himself) so there could have been a lot of pressure/influence by the neo cons on Bush. However, once Wolfowitz left to go to the world bank (another job he is running into the ground) the influence to keep Rumsfeld was lost. I just think if Rumsfeld had been kicked out earlier it would have meant that Bush was wrong about the war in Iraq and one thing this president HATES to do is admit he's wrong about anything.

This question really delights the libs.Bush kept Rumsfeld because he likes loyal people. Bush does not respond to outside pressure. If he did he would have a new Vice president, A different attorney general , a different Sec. of State. All these people were opposed by many but GW wanted them & stuck beside them all the way.How many people bailed on BIll in his second term.Bush only surronds himself with people he trust. DONT YOU/

Rumsfeld got out so he could escape prosecution for war crimes by the international community. He will go underground or at least to a country that won't extradite him. He is still one of the puppet masters that pull Bush's strings, albeit now from a distance.

Wolfowitz has been out of DoD for a while now. I have no idea what you are talking about. I'm guessing that I'm not the only 1.
